To be meaningful to everyone, a genealogical tree needs pictures,  text, even sound and animation.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is for TBU to bring together every type of media available,  so that thosebeforeus.com can develop into a 'must visit' site where you can see, read and hear your history. It will be dynamic and grow as you add  more information and records. We want your records to be part of a comprehensive  research facility.

Every record will have a unique identity which will interlink with members of the same genealogical tree.  When two independent trees have a common ancestor, the tree will interlink. As the number of records increases, this ability for linkage will create  a super-genealogical tree. Best of all, the records will contain information  that will enable you to discover and learn more about your family.

You can upload picture files and historical biographies, tributes and memorials in text form, to the genealogical database. As  additional media is made available, members will be able to add movies and audio to their records at either a nominal fee or at no additional cost, depending on the storage space required.

We aim to be your principle record repository which you can  share with the world. Your past and your future is our future.
